About Us
Mimi and Mark Cassidy have over 20 years experience as storytellers and educational theatre practitioners in schools, in the community and as children’s entertainers. Both have teaching and acting qualifications, enhanced DBS certificates and are Equity members and are, most important of all, parents!
Mark trained in acting at the Academy of Live and Recorded Arts and Drama Studio, London and Mimi in Theatre and Performance at University of Central Lancashire. Both gained Distinctions in Community Arts/Theatre Practice and both are Associates of London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art.
Having taught Drama and English in high schools for over 20 years, Mark now works as a freelance Actor, Writer and Drama teacher, collaborating with Mimi in creating new work. With 12 years experience of working with children and families in schools and other settings, Mimi is trained in Child Protection & Safeguarding, Emotional Health & Wellbeing, Drawing & Talking Therapy, NLP, Social & Emotional Aspects of Learning, Positive Behaviour Management, Kid’s Skills, Restorative Justice and has delivered the Incredible Years parenting course in schools for over eight years. Mimi works as a freelance Drama teacher, actor/performer, workshop facilitator and manages their business near Exeter, Devon, where they now live.
They have two children, both of whom are now working in the Arts. Magda writes songs for the shows and provides admin support during touring, Gabe composes soundscapes and records the music.
